Rob Benwell is…… the blogger from hell when it comes to earning money with blogs.
He started out 5 years ago and 4 blogging books later he’s letting lose the last bits of the blogging puzzle in his last installment? Of Blogging to the Bank 2010 -Lets hope so anyway- 
Ok so whats in the 2010 version he left out of 1,2 and 3 ?? not a lot to be honest, after reading though it I was some what disappointed I was hoping for something new not just some updated stuff .
Yep..! ok this is the internet and what worked last year may well not be working this year so updates are good but if you have BTTB version 1,2 and 3 you maybe disappointed in version 4.
Lets dive in and see what’s in the book.

Self explanatory Rob’s on a roll telling his story on how he’s earned over $1,000,000
from his blogging empire in the last five years. That’s fantastic Rob but it don’t help your readers so tells us how you did it??

A little from the book.
It’s been 5 years since I started blogging and just short of 4 years since the original Blogging to the Bank ebook was released.
A lot changes year to year on the internet and the same goes when it comes to blogging.
Things come and things go, and as this edition has show, things return!
So whats changed Rob tell us…
Twitter: is here and it’s the bloggers tool of the future. If you are not using it your missing out big time. So much so Rob as included a complete course on how to use twitter to explode your blogging.
Free blogs are back and are ready to be put in the front line of your blogging empire, something needs to be the canon-fodder rob calls them STB Short term blogs. But lets be clear on this you can also have STB’s that you own. Your long term blogs LTB’s are going to be the bred winners.

Revenue… this is what it’s all about 
Money making it – earning it the easy way there are so many ways to gain revenue from your blog. Rob tells you the best of the best ways to do this.
Don’t give up ??? Way should you? Well lot’s of people do and most just before they hit the jackpot. Bloging or any way of earning money online takes time, your visitors need to get something from their visits and then they will spread the word so make sure you give it to them. It’s a long road to walk but there are some short cuts
Don’t let your blog die.
No you must never do this, if it’s getting to much for you don’t just walk away sell it rob tells you how to make a small fortune doing this.

Rob devoted 7 pages in this chapter on how to workout just what your blog should be promoting. It’s not just about how many people are searching Google for something. There is also to consider if these people are spending money on what they are searching for. Even those who have been blogging for a time should get some good info from this chapter.

Rob tells you about the best place to get your domains and the hosting he believes is the best for you to build your blogging empire on.
I’m not so sure about those choices, maybe you should checkout a few yourself before acting on Rob’s advice.

Ok… this is strange Rob’s starting to play chess with your blogs in this chapter.
Apparently you need to think of your front row STB’s has pawns. If you play chess you know what happens to them don’t you. Still there is a method in Rob’s madness and he explains it all for you.
- Optimizing Your Blog 23
Optimization and not just for Google and friends. SEO is fine for robots but don’t forget your visitors they aren’t robots or spiders, they are human and as humans we need to be interested in what we are reading. So Rob go’s into some detail about optimizing your blog 3 ways to please everyone, bot’s included
- Content 34
Ok when you are blogging full time for money content can be a pain in the butt big time. So Rob as some good advice about this little / big problem you may find yourself having. There are lot’s of ways to get your content done for you and lots of ways you can get your content done for free. You don’t always need to write your own.
- Promotion & Backlinks 38
If you have done any type of business online you will know that traffic is the key to your success, back linking is one way to grab a lot of organic free traffic from the search engines. This bit of the book will be disappointing to those already online.

- Advanced SEO Techniques 43
Ok I’m losing the plot here [ Advanced SEO Techniques ] is now been retitled (( Content & OnSite SEO))
well not to worry now Rob’s going on about LIS in this chapter or Latent Semantic Indexing has all the SEO guy’s and gal’s like to call it.
It’s how Google’s bot/spider is believed to workout what a blog or website is all about by matching words that have the same meaning. Rob go’s on to explain how you can write content for your readers and have the search engine bot’s leave your blog knowing exactly what it’s about.
- Web 2.0 Strategies 45
Now this part of Blogging to the bank 2010 I was looking forward to reading after seeing it in the index: Now I have been around 4 years on the web. Web2 also known as social networking and free for all web sites this also includes free blogs and web sites like lenses…. there are hundreds of them you can use to back up your blog and rob only mentions Squidoo. Ok Rob 6 months ago I would say yep go build those lenses and link em back to your blog (s) But…. Squidoo is not what it used to be, in fact it’s a nightmare for any type of profitable marketing since they updated their TOS:
They locked out thousands of lenses and took away their uses businesses overnight.
Luckily Rob outlines 5 method in this chapter with lots of web2 properties you can use, so there is plenty to get your teeth into.
The biggest right now is Twitter and as a bonus you get the full works on this a full Twitter course that you can access for free… Nice one Rob.
- Outsourcing & Building Your Blog Empire 59
Outsourcing… you can read a lot on this and get this done easily, but it costs money
so I would have liked to see rob include a few free ways to get this done.
There are many and you don’t need to spend a penny on outsourcing.
- Selling Your Blog 61
I admit it I skipped right passed this chapter. It don’t make sense to me selling something that earns you money month after month.
- How To Get Thousands Of Links For Free 63
I’ve been around for some time and this trick got passed me.
So I will be implementing this ASP to all my blogs and sites. Sometimes you just find a nugget of gold and you don’t want to share it with anyone. I can not say to much about it here but it’s worth the cost of the e-book alone.
- The Sneaky Theme Sponsor Trick 64
Old hat rob everyones doing or done this at sometime but very affective all the same.

Rob’s collection of tool’s you need for your blogs. You can never do without the right plugin’s. Thanks Rob I missed a few of those.

MY Conclusion:
Over all Rob’s done a good job of updating blogging to the bank… But if you are already making money blogging then don’t buy blogging to the bank 2010 you don’t need it.
However if you are struggling to get your blog or blogs making you money then blogging to the bank is wroth getting. And for anyone new to blogging it’s a must have edition.
