Welcome to Part Two- Earn Money Online Tutorials – Building the Right Blog to Drive Your Targeted Buying Traffic To
The Blog – Your Blog Will Earn You Money So Long As You Put Yore Best Effort Into It
If you have been following along with me, you now should have done most if not all of your research.
Now” I do hope you have been researching other niches than the one above.
It’s for your own benefit that you seek out lot’s of possibilities and not try to jump on the band wagon everyone else is trying to get on.
Ok, now we have all this data, what can we do with it?
Well like I said what you have learned in doing your research is going to dictate what type of information you will build a blog around. Content, Affiliate Products, and the type of ads you will run if any…
Now when is a blog not a laser targeted SEO blog?. When you have more plugin’s then is necessary. Or should I say the wrong plugin’s.
There are many free and paid for blog templates out there, but free and even sometimes paid is not always going to do the best job of presenting your content to the search engines. For SEO reasons, it is very important that your blog code, the code that the spider bots sees is as clean as possible.
Spiders come into your blog and read from top down, most will leave on the first external link they find and follow it to its destination if you don’t take the right action to stop this. Most spiders will never get to read and index your content on the first go if you allow the spider to do it’s own thing. “That’s something we need to avoid at all times” we need to guide it so as to keep it on our blog for as long as possible.
The blog theme I recommend is “Thesis” by Chris Pearson, a very talented SEO guy.
Thesis, has a very well written core code that is guaranteed not to make the spider bots angry.
This is the theme I will be using in the video in part 3, of - Earn Money Online tutorials – Building the Right Blog tutorial Video, you can check it out here –> “Thesis”
Let’s get back to building the blog, this is such a big market I’m wandering into I need to decide. What is going to be my main niche, I know hardcore gamers are willing to pay for all dancing and singing computer systems “BUT” Can I target the right group of people easily?.
There are the self builder types, and the”… I don’t know how they work. I just want the best, and of course the computer upgrades. Any of these groups is willing to put money on the table, but how often?
Then we have the hardcore gamer that goes through video games faster than a newbie affiliate marketer jumps from product to product. There are a lot of young players in the video game’s market that are only too willing to pester mum and dad to pay out for the next game on the arisen.
Going back on my notes from my research the video gaming niche is by far the most lucrative.
No matter what system the hardcore player is in love with. The machine needs feeding and its favorite food is video games. And not only the machines… also the players, they want to know what’s around the corner, writing high quality content for this niche is going to be easy.
Sources:
The sources I will use are:
Magazines: Game reviews, console, computer magazines, vendors/ manufacturer websites, Google alerts, Youtube, Amazon and forums.
you should have a list of the most used and populer forums from your research.
So my plan is, pre-sell NOT SELL… my targeted traffic the best of both worlds.
1.Video Games, all formats. Main niche.
2.Upgrades covering all machines. My Sub niche.
3.Systems, consoles, PC and Mac. My micro niche.
Now I know my game plan I can start to design my blog to best fit my audience.
I need written and visual content, Videos, lots of high impact graphics and pictures.
Now for some home work,( yep! more research) make a folder on your desk top, call it my authority niche name blog, or whatever suits you best. Inside that folder make sub folders, images, video, written content, Competitor sites url’s saved to a text file. We will add to the folder as we progress.
Go and find what you need for the niche you have chosen and fill those folders, we are not going to steal content to use on our own blog. We just need to feed our imagination. Look for suitable royalty free pictures and graphics, check out you-tube for videos, copy the embedded code to a text file and save it to the video folder.
